The Secrets of Metamorphosis by Peter Demetris

1Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed.
This profound, sacred and powerful verse of scripture contains important and significant meaning for us today, who seek the complete and full redemption of the body promised in Christ. There is going to be a change of order in creation. Instead of degeneration, sadness, sorrow, weakness, illness, disease, mortality and death, shall be the state of re-generation, gladness, joy, strength, health, immortality, eternal life. I can hear someone saying in themselves that surely this is a fantastic dream of the imagination, however these words are born of the truth itself. They shall speak out from His place of enthronement and declare in clarity and power the Kingdom of God within you. This change will not come into manifestation by wishful thinking or philosophical musings. Nor will this change be the product of evolution, scientific breakthrough, or medical discovery.

1Corinthians 15:50 “Now I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God… ”

According to the Word of God, our first birth and natural or soulish life does not possess the substance of God’s kingdom life. Flesh and blood man as we know it, has not, and does not inherit the Kingdom of God. Ever since the day of Adam’s transgression, death entered the creation, and the way into this place of life has been hidden and blocked to the mind of natural man.

(Genesis 3:24, 1Corinthians 2:14).

In addition to this realization, the thought of the Spirit continues to expand upon this dilemma.

1Corinthians 15:51 ” …neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. ”

Corruption is the state of death itself, the body (the former living soul) decaying back to dust. Death does not transport us into another world, nor to another form of life, spiritual existence, heavenly abode, or otherwise. Death is an end to existence. Death is the absolute final state for everyone of us born into this life from Adam. It is written; “…in Adam ALL DIE…”Death not only robs us of the very gift of life but also denies the Lord of creation His own perfect manifestation in the earth. For God is not a God of the dead, God is a God of the LIVING. Death is the horrible wage of the power of sin and is an un-equal opportunity destroyer. To this powerful and unchanging reality, God’s Holy and Pure voice alone sits above the utter multitude of words, declaring with Wisdom, intelligence and dignity throughout every generation of mankind – to all who are willing to believe: since by man came death . . . so by man came the resurrection of the dead.

It is written: “We shall not all sleep (die)…” 1Corinthians 15:51 It is written: “The last enemy destroyed is death… ” 1Corinthians 15:26

We shall not all die! A WORD OF LIFE. We shall be changed! This same word of life brought creation into it’s existence. This same word of life… became FLESH. This same word of life was slain but raised up from death. And now declares through the lips of St. Paul that WE SHALL NOT ALL DIE, WE SHALL BE CHANGED. This change is a METAMORPHOSIS. This glorious experience shall be the final result of a people called to inherit the prize of the high calling of GOD, having the radiant nature of Christ Jesus transforming their whole spirit, soul and body. It is significant that in the Gospel of Matthew and the seventeenth chapter is an account, of the enormous power demonstrated by Jesus on the mount called TRANSFIGURATION. The first verse is a gate to a deeper level of God’s word connecting us to several dynamic characteristics of this transformation we are being called to.

Matthew 17:1 “After six days Jesus taketh Peter, James and John his brother, and bringeth them up to a high mountain apart, and was TRANSFIGURED (changed) before them: and his face did shine as the sun…”

St.Peter also wrote: 2Peter 3:8 “Beloved be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. ”

These words are not history. They point to the hour you and I are now living. We are at the end of the sixth one thousandth day from ADAM and the dawn of the seventh day. In the book of Genesis, Moses reveals by the Spirit that after the sixth day of creation, God had a man in His image and likeness upon the earth with dominion and power. This only points to the NEW MAN that shall emerge to stand upon the earth as we enter this new day and age of the Lord. There is a salvation ready to be revealed. A breach of the previous order of death, an interruption to the state of things as we now know it.

It is written: “…this mortal shall put on immortality. ” 1Corinthians 15:53

The word trans-figuration is taken from the Greek “Meta/morphoo” meaning to change or transfer from. Jesus took these disciples to a place where he could show them the inner radiant glory and energy of his entire being. There Peter, James, and John experienced an aspect of Christ that no one else had seen before. In his second epistle, St. Peter refers back to this moment declaring that the Appearing of Christ is to be a Metamorphosis. An appearing of His power within us that will change us completely spirit, soul, and body. We must begin to climb this spiritual mountain of trans-figuration. The Holy Spirit is moving upon those who enjoy a very deep and personal relationship in Christ, calling them to a journey of change, as an escape from captivity, danger and death. We are climbing into a higher spiritual state of consciousness. In this process we are being separated form superstition, legend, and folklore, from the traditions of death and carnal minded reasoning about the future, called A-PART from the general crowd of religious folks gathered at the bottom of the mountain. We are being called to behold Christ Jesus the Lord in a way that shall trans-form our entire state of personal existence.

2Corinthians 3:18, “But we all with open-face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed (meta-morphoo) into the same image from glory to glory, even by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Romans 12:2, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed (meta-morphoo) by the renewing of your mind…”

This change shall be a progressive in-working of the Spirit, from one level of Christ’s nature to another, until we have absorbed all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Our own minds being renewed according to the image that God had perfected in Christ Himself. The full manifestation of this process will bring about the salvation of the body as well.

Philippians 3:20-21, “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:(21) Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. ”

Ephesians 5:23 ” …and he is the saviour of the body.”

Romans 8:23 “…even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”

2Corinthians 5:4-5 “For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is GOD, who also has given to us the earnest of the Spirit…. ”

“After six days …The seventh day represents and joins us to many vital principles associated with making this change viable. It is the Sabbath day of Rest, completeness and fulfillment. In the Book of Genesis it states: “And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”

Genesis 2:3 This place of REST is our realm of Metamorphosis. It is here the change of age and life will occur.

Hebrews 4:9,11 “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God (11) Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest ”

Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made.”

In thinking about this rest in God, I saw how natural man parallels exactly what God has done. Being made in the image of God, mankind does not realize that very often in a small and limited way the human life mimics the secrets of God’s plan. It is amazing how in today’s world the drive to combine all the technologies involved with computer sciences and robots, to join artificial intelligence with manmade, form and create an instrument that can do for him many of the things he must now do for himself. This will allow more time for REST. Man does seek REST from the stress and burden of every day living. RE-creation is an exercise of not only the body but of the human spirit as well. What is written there? What is written in man’s way of life? …this very desired place of REST and change. He seeks to clone himself by any means, to create a rest. Why is he seeking to create a rest? Because it is written within us to rest.

Hebrews 4:10 “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from him.”

Why did God cease from his own works? Because on the seventh day He had another one in His own image that could express his life for Him and He ceased from His own works. The full responsibility of keeping all things was in the hands of another He had created. Those who enter this REST shall cease from their own works (self-righteousness) because another one has been raised up within consciousness. The work of flesh will truly cease in this realm of Christ. For His full and complete presence shall be standing up in each of us who have his image created and formed within them. AFTER SIX DAYS shall be … the seventh day for metamorphosis.
